WORLD PEACE AT A GLANCE

HAPPY 2010 WISHES to all our silent readers, and yes, we have them as our Live Feed attests, but thankfully few are the ones who actually waste theirs or our precious time begging to differ, or in announcing themselves in any number of other less tedious ways...

But in a slow kickoff of the new year of Two-Fisted Quorum (despite the plethora of pungent events of late of which the national media has covered in various degrees of detail), here are a few skewered bits that may have missed your perusal:

  • Congressional Democrats scheme to push universal voting rights...
  • China announces new restrictions on its own band of merry Muslims...
  • Top dozen "media scares" of the past ten years. And you say the conspiracy isn't real?
  • Former NYC Mayor Ed Koch, inspired by a hard-hitting piece by Charles Krauthammer threw a crush punch at the Obama administration's mishandling of the recent terror attacks on US soil at Fort Hood and Detroit air space. One question Koch, a Democrat who supported Bush in '04 and Obama in '08, raised is why aren't we honoring those who brave men and women who stopped these two catastropes in their tracks? Where indeed?
  • So, let's piece together the few narrative threads we are offered by the mainstream media. Any Muslim who snaps and shows his true colors is merely an isolated case of an otherwise gentle soul getting his "buttons pushed" while those unfortunate enough to be caught red-handed with "terrorist ties" are part of some Tiny Minority of Extremists™ and surely not representative of mainstream Islam. So no matter how much regurgitated Qu'ran-speak is spewed out by Muslims, it is never representative of the whole. Must be a riot to have the mainstream media and western governments in one's hip pocket.
  • Ever wondered why you sometimes confuse "inalienable rights" with "unalienable rights" when pondering our Declaration of Independence? Read this for personal resolve. Note Jefferson's choice.

    MCCAIN GETS TEN POINT BOUNCE

AS THE WORLD TURNS, SO DO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE who wise up despite the pressures of a political correctness that stifles the democratic process and free circulation of ideas. Now we have reports that McCain is up ten points over Obama in latest Gallup poll.

The MSM and the stupid talking heads are again insisting that Hillary and Bill come out openly and sing the praises for the most unqualified, inexperienced, overrated “community organizer” ever to grace the national scene as a future presidential candidate. What bullsh*t!

If I were Hillary I would just say: “Look, I am far better equipped and prepared than this No Nothing, but you just had to have him. I was smeared, derided, insulted, abused, and called a racist and now I am expected to come out here and promote the very same person behind these attacks? As Bill would say, give me a break! I am the real thing, not this generic excuse for a Commander in Chief. You wanted Brand X, you got him. But don’t expect me to pitch this product. And from the way things are going right now, he ain’t doing all that well with the consumer. So start practicing, “Good morning, President McCain”.

Thanks, Pat Johnson for those poignant words! The PUMAs will be remembered by this nation as a pro-democratic anti-machine movement that stood by its own principles, old familiar, historically-tested principles that once again resonated with the American voting public!

    Just ask Tammy Bruce.

And from the gift that keeps on giving, here is more news that indicates that the Obama fix is unraveling. Nigerian anti-graft investigators have seized money raised by the head of the Nigerian Stock Exchange to support US presidential candidate Barack Obama.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has said it would give the money back to those who attended a gala dinner in Lagos last month. The EFCC reported that it had seized 74m naira ($630,000, £314,000), while also stipulating that no Nigerian laws had been broken.

But let's not forget that US political parties are not allowed to receive contributions from abroad. Read the entire article here.

    PRAISING THE NEW YORKER BACKFIRE

    Oops
THE SIZZLING B&M OBAMA FAMILY CARTOON points out the total fraud that is known in the media ghettos as Political Correctness. Political Correctness is NOT about tolerating diverse viewpoints; it is actually a ploy by stealth fascists to push their agenda without being questioned about said agenda. And this agenda quite obviously does not include tolerance but is a totalitarian fixed idea, a hardline agenda with zero tolerance for opposing viewpoints.

The lynchpin of the "politically correct" belief system insists that the white male dominated culture is responsible for EVERY misdeed that society has committed. It's a metaphysical relief to watch the liberals get gored with their own ox. They created this monster, now they have to sit there and take it without complaint.

What the American people need (and should want) is a President who is confident and decisive in the face of adversity, not someone who whines, points fingers and responds defensively to mistakes and criticism with "that's not what I meant" or "stop picking on me and my wife."

Obama looks good and sounds good when he's well prepared, but his off-the-cuff performances get worse as time goes on, which explains why he rejected unscripted townhall meetings with John McCain in favor of unchallenged, prepared speeches in large-capacity venues. There's no doubt that our darling Obama is young and hip, so if the American people want a rock star standing between them and the bad guys, he's the candidate for whom to vote.

I'd like to see another New Yorker front page. The one that would top the Obama front page would have a picture of Yeshua the Nazarene on the left side and a picture of Mohammad on the right side.

It is hard to imagine that we might be on the verge of electing a president that everyone will be afraid to criticize. As a candidate we have already seen everybody tip toe around Obama it can only get worse if he is elected. Everyday the list gets longer of things that are off limits to discuss when it comes to Obama. If he is elected it will be like living in a nation with a Fidel Castro or Saddam Hussein as president whom no one dares to challenge or criticize. God help us!

I would leave it to the New Yorker editors to decide the degree of clownish representation of both individuals. It would be very interesting to see the response from Christians vs Muslims. These are the two largest religious groups in the world. How would each respond? How many Christian terrorists are in the US? How many Muslim terrorists are in the US? Would this bring them out? It's worth the test.

Obama talks about his love and respect for basic American beliefs, like working hard and loving one's country, in one of his TV ads. As the New Yorker flap illustrated, authenticating that claim is one of his biggest challenges.
