U.S. PRESSES CHINA ON TRADE

Associated Press. In a short piece with the headline—U.S. Presses China on Trade Issues—Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, in Beijing, is said to have appealed for help in shoring up America's position on free trade.

Of course, a top Chinese official stated that change was already on the way, while complaining that Americans fail to understand China.

Fail to understand? Isn't that the same rhetorical device used by certain African-Americans to stonewall any accusations that perhaps much of that community's problems reside within its own ulture and attitudes? Recall the animosity Bill Cosby received on the heels of his straight talk on personal responsibility and hard work to his own community.

Fail to understand? Did not the hispanic community plead the same sorry case when authorities tried to crack down on loitering about and open air drinking on the streets in certain urban neighborhoods, behavior that usually leads to violence, and sometimes riots when some innocent is caught in the crossfire, such as the events that led to the 1991 Mt. Pleasant riots in the Washington?

Fail to understand? Is this not the same lame victimization ploy advanced by so-called "moderate Muslim" groups like CAIR who distort their own ideologies and statements to contemporary advantage while actively plotting to install sharia law and the Caliphate just as soon as they reach critical mass and can once again use the very real power of the sword instead of the feigned victimhood at the hands of infidels to thwart American ideals?

And now China. On trade issues of all things. Simple numbers. Language of the gods, right? Fail to understand. That's rich. China steals technology. Isn't China on Hollywood's hitlist for blockbuster DVD piracy?

First of all, let's get this right, this trade quest should be correctly expressed as "fair" trade. Absence of tariffs or price manipulations is only part of the problem. The fact that China is buying up oil and storing oil they are only beginning to use, just to keep the market prices high, supply low, while exporting goods to the U.S. far in excess of whay they purchase from American companies, shows quite well they understand the game, and are intent on winning.

This exchange with the Chinese at the start of a two-day gathering billed as a long-range "strategic economic dialogue" was intended to mollify American business groups and Democrats in Congress who want to rein in China's soaring trade surpluses. I was somewhat surprised to read that it was the Democrats who were calling for action, because I am old enough to recall that globalisation used to be a Dem issue. Has three decades of heavily exporting America's industry and capital to those who use our generosity until they gain advantage, only to later expose the weakness of many of these globalist strategies by turning against us, finally turned some heads on the Left? Maybe it's that Hollywood connection. The multinationalists and their new Manifest Destiny with its monstrous greed saddens me.

This new world order, one world government thing is real. All sides are out to win this final thrust for global empire. I just don't believe America can win this by cow-towing to our competition, friendly or not. After all, lying is the language of diplomacy.

The AP article said that Paulson and others in his high profile delegation, including Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke, argued that a more flexible currency, more open markets, and other changes are crucial to maintaining free trade.

Paulson's Chinese counterpart, Wu Yi, welcomed the chance to build "mutual trust" Bt she complained that Americans failed to understand China and said that could damage relations.

I say, press, and press hard!

UGLINESS BY PEACENIKS, AGAIN

Hate speech or free expression of ideas? Depends on which goal line you are defending. As we know here at the PROJECT, both teams, each with their funny-looking uniforms and logos can dip rich and rude into the smear jar, using all sorts of unsportsmanlike conduct to further their objectives. But the Left seems especially gifted in this area, although admittedly the Right often comes off far too smug in resting on its amnesiac laurels for the common man to stomach.

So here we go again...

Violence erupted at a Michigan law school last week when protestors tried to block a speech by Colorado Congressman Tom Tancredo. Police were called after protestors pulled a fire alarm prior to the speech on immigration policies. There were at least three violent incidents with protestors targeting student backers of the event, Tancredo, a Republican from Littleton, CO, said today.

"One was spit on, one was kicked, and one was punched," Tancredo said in an e-mail. "Tires were also slashed."

Tancredo was booked at Michigan State University College of Law as part of a visit to the state to talk about immigration reform. Michigan State University College Republicans and Young Americans for Freedom sponsored the event. He leads the group that opposes legal status for illegal immigrants.

The MSU college newspaper reported that protesters carried signs reading "Ignorant Racist" outside the room where the speech was held. They were not allowed in with the signs, the paper said. It also reported that about 40 people attended the speech.

The same kind of disruption happened at Ivy League Columbia University when the Minuteman Project came and mayhem ensued. We were expecting the same outbursts and "sanctioned hatred" tomorrow at Ann Arbor against the Lebanese-American Brigitte Gabriel, but with more stalwart protection this time, her speech was delivered without controversy. However, this has become a sickening pattern across universities and media outlets everywhere: to silence anyone speaking in defense of America, Israel and Western civilization.

BRIGETTE GABRIEL AT U OF MICHIGAN

Dear Gabriel,

I am glad to report to you that my presentation at the University of Michigan last night went without a glitch. Credit goes to the alertness of the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security, and local and university police. Highly visible were 8 police officers, a K9 team, a personal body guard and a variety of well positioned TV cameras from a Fox news crew for Bill O'Reilly as well as local TV station and university TV crews.

The event organizers worked furiously to place heightening security after we were alerted on Sunday of a Muslim call going out that stated "Muslims, Arabs, and their friends and allies should give Gabriel a proper welcome." It is a crying shame when a speaker, any speaker in America today, has to have such security on hand just to ensure they can deliver a lecture at an American university. Our founding fathers are turning in their grave.

The event went without a glitch not because of the respect of the civilized Arab Muslim students who wanted to give me an uninterrupted platform to express my views about Islamofascism and terrorism but because of the large presence of security personnel and the TV cameras that kept others wishing to agitate from behaving badly. Knowing that they will be wrapped up and swiftly taken away in a moment by the police officers as the cameras recorded their foolishness on national television kept them in their seats.

You have to take your enemy at their word and defend yourself and show them that you will not put up with any nonsense from them, that you mean business. They wanted to show Brigitte Gabriel the proper welcome, Brigitte Gabriel wanted to ensure she was prepared to reciprocate. As a Middle Easterner I know what they respect.

So many conservative speakers and organizers assume that hopefully the students will behave, because we should have the right to free speech in our country. They show up usually with two police officers giving the enemy the benefit of the doubt. You cannot give your enemy the benefit of the doubt. You are to assume the worst and be prepared for it. And if it is going to take 8 police officers, a K9 team and a body guard for us to speak our views on college campuses and gain back the mind and soul of our youth, so be it.

Moral clarity, courage and unshakable determination are what is needed now to take back our universities. Fear, intimidation and political correctness need to be thrown by the wayside and we should move forward in the fight of our lifetime.

Our founding fathers endured so much and most died in poverty giving so much to give us the freedoms and the blessings of America that we enjoyed up to this day. Now is the time for our generation to rise up and defend what they have worked so hard to give us so that we may pass it to our children and their future generation.

I want to thank all of you who wrote and called in the last two days offering your prayers, your support in every way you could. Linda (the event organizer) was overwhelmed with emails and calls even from our members in Europe. I thank you for standing up for us with your support. I am willing to put my life on the line to do what needs to be done to speak up and defend our country.

Thanks to all of you who donated in the last few months. Your donations have enabled us to move our web site which was repeatedly hacked by Islamists to a new protected server. This is why in the last three weeks you have not been receiving regular email alerts. I am so thankful that just this weekend I was able to get back in communication with you. We may have lost some incoming emails in the move. Please forward this to your friends and family who may have not received alerts so they may be able to register for alerts again.

I ask you to please continue helping us increase our work in exposing the truth about those who seek our destruction. Please click here to make a donation Your donations from $10 dollars to as much as you deem possible, support the work we are doing. As I read your letters of support I am humbled and encouraged in continuing our efforts in standing up for our country and our way of life. I could not be more honored to have you as members and supporters.

My love and appreciation to every single one of you.

Brigitte Gabriel

FUNNIER THAN ALL GET OUT

Okay, so Mohammed suggested his raiding party low on supplies to drink camel milk and urine. That's fine, but what would YOU do in a tough situation? The US government has a new website, displaying public service symbols for terrorism readiness, in the tradition of the old "duck and cover" campaigns after WWII. The fun thing is that these pictures are so ambiguous they could mean anything! You can find a few guesses here. Don't hurt yourself laughing...
